Global Promise launched in 2005, in response to the disastrous Tsunami in South Asia. We raised over £2m and provided relief by engaging businesses and the community.
Driven by a sense of vision and passion, early ideas have matured over the past year into tangible and meaningful initiatives that have grabbed the attention and touched the hearts of many.
The level of support for disaster relief following the tsunami and then the Pakistan earthquake has clearly indicated that many businesses are not purely driven by profit, but have a desire to put something back into communities with which they feel empathy. Subsequent initiatives have involved businesses ranging from a housing support programme to a major television company.
